Tangled Ends is a band hailing from the northern California redwoods from a small town called Willits, made up of Singer and Guitarist: Aeon Webber, Lead Guitarist: Jackson Kostanecki, Bassist: Cash Rodriguez, and Drummer: Jeremy Foster. Originally a three piece band formed in August of 2024 revolving former bassist Javaun Saunders, Aeon Webber, And Jeremy Foster. We would rehearse in the lead singers dad's 1956 Greyhound bus. Soon after forming, we started finding small time gigs around our hometown and we would host lots of DIY shows. We quickly adopted a sporadic performance style inspired by noisy bands like sonic youth, nirvana, and black midi. Tangled ends has a raw, loud, and effortlessly melodic sound with a catalog of original songs that swing from indie pop love songs, to loud screamo ballads. After over a year of writing music and playing shows, we decided to record an E.P. collectively we came up with five songs with a sort of loose narrative about dealing with the loss of a relationship. It's a very dynamic body of work with a wide range of influences and a colorful palette of moods. The name we ended up choosing for the E.P. was (A Memoir For You) and it was released on October 27th, 2025. Some of the struggles we ended up dealing with over the past year of being in a band was definitely funding the band. Our original drum set was a sort of Frankenstein creation of different drum parts that we would find. Our very first gig was extremely bootleg and in all honesty, pretty depressing. I think we had roughly 10 people who ended up coming, most of them were people who lived at the apartment complex that we hosted it at. So, right off the bat it was pretty discouraging. But we still decided to keep pushing and strive to become a lot better, emphasize on ALOT. slowly but surely, we started to branch out and more opportunities began to emerge along with the rendition of our two current members (Jackson & Cash) who we also picked up along the way. Before we picked up the name Tangled Ends, we were originally going by Dogs Eating Broken Glass, and before that very briefly, Colon Fart. Thankfully these names didn't stick and the way we got our current name was at a Halloween party, where me (Jeremy), Aeon, and Javaun got extremely intoxicated and Javaun out of the blue came up with it. The name Tangled Ends actually does have a meaning. Its all of our different lifestyles and music taste intertwining. Without all of the past events that happened that lead us to where we are now, there really wouldn't be a Tangled Ends, or at least not the same way it is now. Thank you for reading this and I hope you learned some interesting things about our odd band. Stay tuned for future music, we have lots of projects lined up for the near future.
